Kagbeni may be a village in higher pony, Nepal, placed within the depression of the Kali Gandaki stream. Administratively, Kagbeni may be a Village Development Committee in pony District within the Dhawalagiri Zone of northern Kingdom of Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Kingdom of Nepal census it had a population of 1200 folks residing in 260 individual households. [1] It lies on the path from Jomsom to the royal capital Lo Manthang, close to the junction with the path to Muktinath.
